The Savior Who Seeks the Lost

Much of our time today will be spent considering the kind of man that Zacchaeus was, according to what we see here in these verses; but I don’t want us to examine Zacchaeus and miss the more important point of this text. What is that point? That point is found in verse 10—the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost, of which Zacchaeus is one of them. So am I; and so are you. Thank God that Jesus came to seek after me and to save me from my sinful-self! As we think about Christ’s mission to seek and save the lost, we’re going to consider who Zacchaeus was, and who he became as a result of meeting Christ.
