Sometimes We Say We’re Wrong

We are in the second week of a new sermon series called: “Practicing the Way of Peace.” The focus of this series is the biblical approach for resolving conflict. In every situation we find ourselves in each day, the potential for conflict exists! In our discussion last time, we asserted that what we say always matters. Well, in the drama that unfolds in 1 Samuel 25 between David and Nabal, we will see that sometimes we need to say we’re wrong. Admission of wrongdoing can often be that soft answer that turns away someone’s wrath. So, for the next few minutes, let’s consider this story about David and Nabal, and let’s see how the wise words and deeds of a wise woman brought peace to a volatile situation.
