Our goal for our Christian-walk. We are to form patterns and habits that have us consistently doing various things that please God and deepen our relationship with Him. We have consumed a great deal of teaching from the Apostle Paul’s letters to the various churches to help us form our theology as it relates to spiritual gifts, spiritual maturity and the building up of the body of Christ; but this morning, we’re going to end this series of study by focusing on the Apostle Peter’s writings. We’ll be studying from the fourth chapter of First Peter. The section header for this chapter in the English Standard Version is “Stewards of God’s Grace.” The first six verses focus on the lifestyle of those who do not know Christ and the punishment they will receive in the Day of Judgment. In verse 7, we find the word therefore which denotes Peter’s change of direction for this discussion. He is now focused on the lives and conduct of those who have been delivered from their human passions.
