It was only two years ago when I spent two-and-a-half months walking through Romans 12 in a study called “THEREFORE: Living in Light of Truth,” but a study about spiritual gifts in the Bible would be incomplete without spending some time again in Romans 12. As you can see in the graphic above and in your workbook, the design principle utilized this week is the principle of movement—designing in such a way that it moves your eyes across the page making it feel as if the design is flowing instead of static. Our designer chose this element strategically to illustrate how that committing our SHAPE to God gives direction to our lives, moving us forward in obedience rather than staying stuck in our own plans. That is the pivotal issue of our text today! Are we willing to commit our ministry SHAPE to God? Will we do what it takes to find our unique place in the body of Christ, this local church?
