We turn our attention back to the Gospel of Luke this morning. We will be focusing our attention on the last few verses of chapter 18. As we consider this encounter between the blind man named Bartimaeus and Jesus of Nazareth, there are a few important things that we are going to notice. First, we’ll look at the desperate situation that the blind faced in first-century Judea. Next, we’ll pay close attention to Bartimaeus’ understanding of who Jesus is. Then we will consider the question that Jesus asked of Him. And, finally, we will note the condition of this blind man’s heart both before and after Jesus chose to heal him.
