Who’s leading your life anyways?

I turned eighteen and legally I am an adult, I believe somewhere in the adult handbook someone forgot to give me it mentions different things like paying bills, how to not burn yourself when cooking bacon, and watching the news. All of which are not any fun and I truly hate them, yet watching the news has given me an insight that I never had. An adult insight. It has given me opinions that I never cbu-student-life5_mini-1thought I would have had about Starbucks cups, or if the dress is blue and black or white and gold. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the one I still value the most is Christ’s. Being a college student already comes with various obstacles and challenges and considering I am on one of the biggest mission fields, a college campus, I feel compelled to align my opinion with Christ’s. Yes, I do go to a Christian school, but there are still so many opinions that do not involve Christ. I have had to hold on to my opinion that Christ is the most important thing in my life and allow the opinion of others roll of my back. The news has shot throughout the world about ISIS, Paris, and the coming of a new president for the United States. Opinions are flying poloticseverywhere. What should happen to ISIS? If Trump is president what will become of our nation? Yet most of these opinions are being made without Christ in mind. People seem to go about their daily lives and get caught up in the opinions and chaos that they forget that the creator of the entire universe is in control. Many people forget that one simple yet most important detail thus leading to the destruction of our world. Looking at this from a college teenage perspective, I see how close minded many people are and how many opinions are based off themselves not what Christ has instructed of us. In Proverbs 3:5-6 it says to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understandings.” Trust in the Lord and allow him to lead your opinions and your choices before acting. So the matter of the fact is who’s leading your life?
